Reflection
What I think people need to take out of this awful experience is
that people will do anything to get more power and control. Its
not that they just went to war to take over more land, they went
so far as to rape and kill innocent civilians. It just shows that there
are people in this world that do not have feelings towards other
people and they only think about themselves. The Japanese did
not think what they were doing was as bad as it was. They weren’t
thinking that the person they just killed could have been the next
Albert Einstein, or been the person to discover the cure for cancer.
The six weeks that they were in Nanking, they were not just killing
people in the city, they were killing people spiritually. There were
millions of families that were hurt by this. This just goes to show
that people no matter what age, size, shape, race, and gender can
do awful and horrible things to people just to get what they want,
and not think about the consequences or the feelings of the
people that they are hurting in the process.
