The Current Situation

Most people in the United States today, if you ask, will know little to nothing about what happened in Nanking in 1937. In today’s society, Chinas schooling has even gone so far as to not even teach their students about it. Rarely a child or a young adult in China today will even know went on. The Chinese society is trying to make it so that they think nothing ever happened

If a foreign exchange student were to come to the United States and someone were to ask them about if the knew anything about what happened in Nanking in 1937, most likely they will have no idea; and you would be giving them new information about their society.
Today Nanking is doing very well for itself. With its population being over 5 million, it has become East Chinas second largest commercial center. It has been a national center for research, tourism, transport networks, and education; and in 2014, the city will be hosting the Summer youth Olympics.
